Counselors in Training

Some of the most unforgettable summers at Malibu Beach Camp begin in our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program! Designed for campers entering 9th and 10th grade, this unique experience blends fun, friendship, and hands-on learning in a closely supervised environment.

CITs gain valuable insight into working with children and collaborating with staff, all while developing key skills in leadership, responsibility, and communication. The program strikes the perfect balance between responsibility and recreation, allowing teens to enjoy the spirit and traditions of Malibu while preparing for future roles as Assistant Counselors.

Through mentorship, teamwork, and active participation in the camp community, CITs grow in confidence and build lasting relationships — laying the foundation to become the next generation of MBC role models. To be considered for the program, please complete the application below.

Fee’s & Transportation.

The fee for the CIT program is $1500, and transportation is available for an additional fee of $1,200. A $200 deposit is required prior to scheduling an interview.
