Attending Camp
Everything you need to know about camp.Lunch Time
At Malibu Beach Camp, your child’s health and safety are our top priority — which is why we are a NUT AWARE campus. We take great care to ensure that no meals, snacks, or ingredients served contain nuts or are processed in facilities that handle nuts.
Lunch Options
Campers enjoy a tasty, hot lunch each day, freshly prepared and served with care. If you prefer, you’re welcome to pack a lunch for your child instead. Just a few important reminders:
-
Please do not send any peanut or nut products, as Malibu Beach Camp is a nut-aware environment.
-
All packed lunches should be clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name and group name.
-
We are happy to refrigerate lunches as needed.
You’re also welcome to pack an additional snack — just be sure it’s completely peanut- and nut-free.
Thank you for helping us keep Malibu a safe, healthy, and inclusive place for every camper!

Frequently Asked Questions
What time does camp begin and end?
Drop-off is between 9:30 AM and 9:45 AM. Campers will head to their assigned morning location and then gather for the division lineup at 9:45 AM. Dismissal is at 4:15 PM.
For our youngest campers (Entering Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten), we offer a Half Day program with a 1:00 PM dismissal.
How many times does my child swim each day?
Every child swims twice a day! We provide instructional swim for campers up until they enter 6th grade.
Is lunch included in the tuition price?
Yes, lunch is included in the tuition. We serve a hot lunch daily, along with alternative options. If your child has allergies or is a picky eater, you are welcome to send in a lunch from home—just please ensure it’s free of nut products.
Are you Peanut and Nut Aware?
Yes, Malibu Beach Camp is peanut and nut-aware. We do not serve any peanut or nut products to our campers or staff, and we kindly ask our camp families to keep all peanut and nut products outside of camp. The safety of our campers is our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation.
Is camp still in session on rainy days? Will my child be bored?
Rain or shine, the fun at MBC doesn’t stop! Our staff is always ready to keep the day exciting, no matter the weather. In the rare event of an extreme weather situation that requires camp closure, we will keep you informed via email.
Do the children go to the beach/ocean?
For safety reasons, we do not take our campers to the beach or ocean. With our Olympic-sized swimming pool, dive tank, and smaller pools for our younger campers, there’s plenty of space for everyone to swim and have fun. The only exception is during Color War when our senior campers have a beach competition, but even then, they do not swim in the ocean.
